



“In December last year I had reached the heaviest weight I had ever been in my life, was not exercising and was eating pretty much anything and everything. I had a bit of a shock when I was told that my blood pressure was high, having previously wavered around the ’’normal’ level my whole life. My GP suggested trying to control it with diet and exercise.
I had used gyms on and off for the best part of 20 years but I knew that this time around I needed more help and encouragement than I was able to muster up myself. I knew of Emma as she had helped me out with a couple of programmes at the gym in the past and I recalled that she seemed to ‘get’ me and what I wanted to achieve.
So in January I started on a regime of moderate calorie control diet and weekly PT sessions with Emma. During the first session I struggled to make it to 2.5 minutes on the rowing machine and realised just how unfit I’d become.
Emma’s sessions are varied, always different, always challenging but just about within my capabilities. As I once said to Emma, she knows how to push me, without pushing me over the edge!

I have also found that you do need to take regular body measurements as the scales don’t also ways show when you’re losing inches and converting fat into muscle.”
